The second event of the research network centred around the presentation of the Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019 evaluation report by Hayley Sims, Evaluation Lead of the Waltham Forest Borough Council. However, the coronavirus outbreak meant that travel restrictions were imposed by UK and Danish Universities which made it impossible to hold a traditional meeting on 18th-19th March as planned. The two-day specialist workshop was transformed into a short one-day online meeting. The presentation by Hayley Sims on the evaluation report of the Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019 is found here.
The original intention was to hold three workshops (on cultural, place making and social/wellbeing impacts), which will now be held as an additional part of the programme of the third and final meeting of the network, which will be hosted by Warwick University and the University of Coventry, and will take place on a date to be confirmed – probably in the spring of 2021 – in Coventry.
